Now my true journey begins with the end of unit 10

In week 3 of my Integral Wellness class I rated my psychological, physical, and spiritual well-being and wrote about it in this blog.  I rated my physiological well-being at 6 because I have a lot of inner demons. I still rate myself as a 6 but feel that I am making my way to a rating of 7. I am working on being more accepting of the choices that I have made in my life.

I rated my physical well-being at an 8 which I believe is now at a 7 because my migraines keep me from working out as much as I should. I am trying to improve my physical wellness by replacing my harder workouts with easier ones. Like, instead of working out on the elliptical I do yoga or tai chi instead.
My spiritual wellness I had rated at a 6 and I now believe to be a 7. I was very confused by human’s existence and was not sure what to fully believe in. Now I have become much more accepting of what life is and should be.

Goals that I have set for myself to improve my wellness are as follows:
Psychological- Meditate everyday as long as possible, practice loving kindness, and take more walks in nature
Physical- Workout daily; yoga, tai chi, and/or nature walks
Spiritual- Meditate loving kindness, subtle mind, and calm-abiding daily

In unit three I set goals to improve my wellness and would say I am proud of myself on the improvements I have made so far. The only goals that I had set in unit 3 that I have yet to commit to were my physical goals due to my health issues. My severe migraines hinder my physical abilities at times so I have needed to set new goals to improve my physical well-being.

I feel that I am on a solid path to integral health with the goals I have set for myself in this course. After altering my physical goals I believe that this will be a great base to continue my integral wellness path along.
Over the past ten weeks I have obtained so much beneficial knowledge to apply to my life’s journey. I have learned how to meditate more effectively and on a more regular bases. Before I assumed I needed the perfect time to meditate and I needed to do it for a long period to succeed. Now I realize that anytime is a great time to meditate and the length does not matter. Even a minute here and there can help center one’s self and improve the overall day. The more I mediate, the more my mind automatically thinks positively in chaotic situations. I am reacting less and enjoying life more.

I hope to use this blog to keep track of my integral wellness and to aid in my ability to reflect on my goals I have set in the past. I will also use this blog to share body-mind-spirit wellness techniques and tips with others online. I hope to better myself and influence others to better themselves through this blog and my ongoing integral health journey to human flourishing.
